The Libertarian Party of Jefferson Parish will hold a Caucus to elect Parish Executive Committee members, a Parish Representative to serve on the State Central Committee, State Convention Committee Representatives, and National Convention Delegates for the new 2016 cycle. The Caucus will be held on Tuesday January 19, 2016, at Italian Pie in Harahan, at 5650 Jefferson Highway.
The Parish Executive Committee meets once a month and works at the local level to implement libertarian principles in government and get Libertarians elected to serve in office. The Committee hosts outreach events to grow voter registration and provide information about the Libertarian Party. We recruit and campaign for local candidates. We support our campus organizations, the College Libertarians at UNO and Loyola. We also lobby to support libertarian issues at the State Legislature in Baton Rouge and we address local issues at the parish level.
If you'd like to get involved with the Libertarians and make a difference in Jefferson Parish, please come out to our Caucus election on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Italian Pie in Harahan.
